In 2012, Mr and Mrs M relocated from the North East to the South East of England. As tutor to their children, I advised them to place their boys - K, 9 years old, and T, 10 years old – in one of Berkshire’s top prep schools.
Together, Pakenham Education viewed several prospective schools that matched Mr and Mrs M’s ambitions and K’s and T’s passions and interests. K and T have worked very hard at school and with me; passing their Year 6 pre-assessment tests to an outstanding Senior Independent School.
I continue to tutor K and T to ensure they pass Common Entrance with flying colours whilst providing educational advice, support and encouragement to the whole family.
In 2008 Pakenham Education started working with a young musician, Miss B, whose long term dream was to study composition at one of the world’s leading music conservatoires located in London.
By providing Miss B with a balanced yet ambitious practice schedule and the necessary interview skills, Pakenham Education helped her to make her dream become a reality. Although only in her first year as an undergraduate, she is already composing a score for a new West End London musical.
Pakenham Education continues to advise and support her.
Early in 2014 Mr and Mrs D, who had relocated to the UK from China asked Pakenham Education to review the academic progress of their son, J, whom they believed needed some help, especially in English, to secure a place at one of Britain’s best senior independent schools.
We set up a year long programme that gave him the confidence to impress at interview and secure the necessary results in his entrance tests. Pakenham Education was thrilled to learn that J received the highest mark out of several hundred candidates in his English entry test.
We continue to provide schools’ advice to him and his family.
